Inaugural Global Scholar Summit huge success
In Boston, it was an outstanding 48 hours of mentorship, community and relationship building for our student-athletes at the inaugural Global Scholar Summit.
The weekend got started with a Saturday morning speed-dating-style mentorship session (scholars and mentors pictured above) with accomplished professionals in banking, health care, technology, journalism, pro soccer, merchandising, consulting and the arts. It was a real eye-opener for our global scholars and a chance to explore the pathways ahead.
In the afternoon we hosted a public panel event and reception (pictured below) that was headlined by Harvard soccer's Kerry Baldwin, DocWayne CEO David Cohen and New England Revolution (MLS) president Brian Bilello. We enjoyed a conversation on ‘pathways in the global game’ and engaged the attendees and our scholars in an open conversation on all that’s out there.
And beyond the formal portions of the weekend, there was plenty of discussion, bonding and reflections — and tons of growth for our student-athletes.
