Ascent Soccer and the Embassy of Iceland in Malawi have joined forces to transform the lives of young women and girls across Malawi through the empowering force of sport. Between 2025 and 2027, Ascent Soccer and the Embassy of Iceland in Malawi are working together to advance girls’ football nationwide — through grassroots events, coach education, resource distribution, the expansion of Ascent’s leading girls’ program and the facilitation of life-changing international opportunities for Malawi’s emerging athletic and academic stars. ICELANDIC FEMALE GUEST COACH & TEACHER OPPORTUNITIES IN MALAWI

We invite you to be part of this movement for change.

Beginning in 2026, we are seeking ambitious and energetic coaches and/or teachers from Iceland to join our team for short-term stays in Malawi.

Ideal candidates will be qualified (or ‘qualifying’) coaches or teachers with a passion for developing the women’s game and empowering the next generation.

This is a unique and life-changing opportunity to experience Malawi, the Warm Heart of Africa, while contributing to a growing movement for gender equality through sport.

Successful applicants will gain first-hand experience in international development, leadership, and grassroots coaching within one of Africa’s most inspiring football environments. It’s a chance to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact, while building lifelong friendships and memories.

Flight, accommodation and food costs will all be covered, as well as provision of a monthly stipend.
