Ascent U19 girls reach new heights in National Final

The Ascent Soccer U19 girls squad claimed Malawi's Central Region Women's League title with an undefeated regular season and wrapped up the year just a penalty shootout loss away from claiming Malawi’s Women’s National title.

Far from a failure, the girls played an incredible final (as the only youth squad in the event) and for the second straight season, Ascent’s midfield standout Rose Kabzere (16) was named the 'Player of the National Championship’.

Our girls wowed the crowds with their skills, spirit and determination, and as the youngest group in the national league — they represent yet another exciting spark in the growth of the girls game in Southeast Africa.
