KJ’s Euro Auction & Fantasy Football Extravaganza!

In the past, we’ve headed to the pub for these amazing events. This year, as we slowly emerge from the pandemic, we’re taking KJ’s event online!

Join us on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 for a laugh-out-loud evening of fantasy football, special guests and fun prizes for a great cause, Ascent Soccer.

DATE & TIME: Wednesday, June 9th, 2021. Fun starts at 7pm (EST - Eastern Standard Time), sharp!

LOCATION: Online ‘Zoom’ Event (You will get the link once you’ve registered.)

REGISTRATION: $100 USD per entry. (Limited to just 50 participants, so sign up today!)

Come out to compete and have a ton of fun with Kristian Jack (KJ) and friends, in this one-of-a-kind 'Euro Fantasy Football' event.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

You will be joining us for a fun fantasy auction, that will also include plenty of footy chat and banter with media celebrities, former pros and fellow fans . . . along with your chance to get competitive, and assemble a winning 'Euro 2020' team of your very own!

The format will be ‘auction style’. Our event lead and auctioneer, world-renowned football pundit Kristian Jack, will simply announce an available player -- and then a frantic online auction, via Zoom chat, will ensue. You will use your 'fantasy money' to bid on the available player, with the top-bidder adding that player to their 11-man roster.

ROSTER RULES

  • $100-miilion 'Fantasy Budget', to buy . . .

  • 1 Goalkeeper

  • 4 Defenders

  • 3 Midfielders

  • 3 Forwards

  • The final Euro 2020 squads will be announced on June 6th. A list of available players and their positions will be made available to you prior to the draft, so you can get ready for the action.

SCORING RULES & UPDATES

  • 5 Points for a Goal

  • 3 Points for a Clean Sheet (For your GK & Defenders only)

  • 2 Points for playing a full 90 minutes (which means an ‘entire match’, including all extra or additional time)

  • ‘Leaderboard’ updates will be sent out regularly, with the winners being announced on Monday, July 12th.

PRIZES

  • First place (the fantasy team with the most points at the end of the event) wins the grand prize of $1,000 . . . assuming we sell out and hit 50 participating teams. Second place earns $400, and third place collects $100. (With the bulk of the funds raised going directly to supporting Ascent Soccer in East Africa!)

  • There will also be some fun prize draws and trivia throughout the night!

  • And everyone, and we do mean everyone, earns our respect and admiration for your support of Ascent Soccer :-)

OH, AND WHO’S KJ?

Since immigrating to Canada from the northeast of England, Kristian Jack (KJ) has provided soccer fans with news, insights and analysis for close to 20 years, which has included everything from the MLS to the Premier League to Canada’s National Teams, and FIFA World Cups and Euro Events. KJ has also been a big supporter of Ascent Soccer from it’s inception, which has seen him lead auction/fantasy events (like this one), trivia nights and tournaments, which have already raised over $150,000 for youth in East Africa! KJ continues to be an incredibly generous friend of Ascent Soccer.
